Tri-wings Steel Body PDC Drill Bits

Tri-wings Steel Body PDC Drill Bits

Tri-wings Steel Body PDC Drill Bits

Steel body concave type 3-wing PDC (Polycrystalline Diamond Compact) drill bits are engineered to excel in drilling operations in challenging hard rock formations. These advanced drill bits are designed to provide superior drilling performance, efficiency, and reliability in demanding environments.

The concave design of the drill bit allows for optimal cutting action, while the 3-wing configuration ensures maximum stability and balance during drilling operations. The steel body construction provides added strength and durability, making it an ideal choice for drilling in hard rock formations.

The PDC drill bits are engineered to withstand the rigors of drilling in challenging formations, ensuring consistent drilling performance and reduced downtime. With their advanced design and construction, these drill bits are an excellent choice for oil and gas, mining, and construction applications where drilling in hard rock formations is a common challenge.

Steel body concave type 3-wing PDC drill bits are designed for drilling in hard rock formations.

Application: These drill bits are suitable for use in geological exploration drill ing, gas drainage hole drilling , grouting hole drilling, and are particularly effective in soft to medium-hard rock formations.

  1. PDC concave drill bits are primarily utilized for drilling in soft to medium formations such as mudstone, limestone, shale, sandstone, and granite.

  2. They are employed in hydrogeological exploration boreholes, gas drainage holes, agent plug holes, and grouting boreholes, specifically in medium-hard to hard rock formations.

  3. These drill bits operate effectively under low drilling pressure, medium to low drive speeds, and provide efficient drainage.

Features:

  1. Equipped with well-designed wing drill bit gauges made of high-hardness cemented carbide, ensuring excellent wear resistance and toughness even under temperatures ranging from 500 to 1000 degrees Celsius. This design choice helps reduce overall drilling costs.

  2. The inclusion of three or five water holes serves two purposes: cooling the PDC cutter and flushing out mudstone from the drilling head, thereby reducing downtime and enhancing efficiency.

  3. Incorporating two 1308 PDC cutters for the pillar and two middle water holes, these drill bits effectively cool the PDC cutters while simultaneously clearing mudstone debris, preventing damage to the compact (PDC cutter) components.

FAQ

Q: What are the most common types of drilling method?

Here are the five common types of oil drilling techniques. 1. Cable Drilling. 2. Directional Drilling. 3. Electro-Drilling. 4. Rotary Drilling. 5. Dual-Wall Reverse- 6. Circulation Drilling.

Q: How deep can a drill rig go?

Depending on the rig type, offshore rigs are rated to drill in water depths as shallow as 80 feet to as great as 12,000 feet. The greatest water depth a jackup can drill in is 550 feet, and many newer units have a rated drilling depth of 35,000 feet.

Q: What is the process of oil exploration?

Oil and gas exploration encompasses the processes and methods involved in locating potential sites for oil and gas drilling and extraction. Early oil and gas explorers relied upon surface signs like natural oil seeps, but developments in science and technology have made oil and gas exploration more efficient.

Q: What are the positions on a rig?

Diver – Some rigs require the use of divers to maintain the underwater equipment. Driller – Heads up all operations related to the drilling equipment. Electrician – Maintains and repairs all electrical systems onboard the rig. Floorman – Provides general support to the rig's drilling operations.
